Will Obama lead by example?
So, ... Barack Obama knows all about the problems with the school lunch program and its implications on the future health of Americans. Will Obama lead by example or will he sweep the issue under the rug? “All ancient philosophy was oriented toward the simplicity of life and taught a certain kind of modesty in one’s need. In light of this, the few philosophic vegetarians have done more for mankind than all new philosophers, and as long as philosophers do not take courage to seek out a totally changed way of life and to demonstrate it by their example, they are worth nothing.”
Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900), German philosopher

I think Obama will be a fairly good president...well, that is, until he screws up. If you look back on all the other presidents of the U.S. every single one of them as done something to screw America “Land Of The Free” over. What makes Obama so different? Nothing. He’ll do something, watch, just watch, he will. However, he does seem more intelligent than most other presidents we have had. Hopefully he does something about the school lunches and makes an effort to help schools help the children. I’ve seen so many kid’s walk around FRG and, well, quite frankly, the look unhealthy. A change in diet seems too small a word. Maybe a change in life style? If more children at a young age switch to having the correct portions that were demonstrated in the food pyramid, then I’m fairly sure America wouldn’t be where it is. It would be better. Maybe we’d be better off. I really don’t know since I’m not all that intelligent myself. Pray Obama does something though. Maybe pressing the issue of school lunch will make Obama take action.
ReplyDeleteEh, OK, well I’m gunna stop my rambling. TTYL.
Actually IF he wants everybody to reduce their carbon footprint-he NEEDS to go vegan and become that role model. I doubt that will ever happen though. MEAT is the most responsible product to cause global warming (all of those cows by the billions fart of tons of methane gas a second-methane is the most EFFICIENT heat trap gas on earth!!!)
ReplyDeleteMEAT is also responsible for antibiotic resistant organsism being spread in the community due to antibiotic abuse. RAW MEAT HAS MRSA IN IT and this was proven in many studies even far back in the 1980's a univerity of microbiology in Japan swabbed raw chicken meat samples and it contained MRSA.
I handed this research and from many other sources all over the world last year (September 2007) to the USDA, who wrote me back and admitted they never checked. The USDA funded a small study via the pork board and I accessed this research--the farm pigs were swabbed & contained MRSA
Yet the FDA just approved the use of antibiotics in farm factory animals as a growth stimulant and for non-therapeutic purposes (keeping them alive in pure filth, feces, urine, and abuse)--they said it's harmless. THE PEW COMMISSION COMPLETELY IS OUTRAGED
Shhhh the media really downplayed this...I guess the government wants people to die of antibiotic resistant microbes??? That's probably it. Reduces the herd. I can't think of any other explanation, or America has become CHINA where PROFIT outweighs SAFETY.
