Apathy in action

From PeTA's Forum: Suffocate writes,

They know what they want anyway. Why should we care.

And who is this crazy warwak guy on my screen?

"Silence is complicity"? What the eff? Maybe it's not wanting to cause trouble.

From Fox River Grove Middle School – Mr. Runck,

There will be an early release on Wednesday, January 28th. The Middle School staff will be running through the Code Red lock down procedure. The 8th grade parents meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. also on the 28th. There are currently 200 candles with facts about Abraham Lincoln in the hallways at the MS. Students will be reading the Gettysburg Address on February 12th. On February 25th the 8th graders will be taking the National Assessment of Educational Progress test which is basically our nation’s report card. Operation Support Our Troops sent a thank you letter to the Middle School for sending letters to our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And this from Zappa,

It pays to make the U.S. school system a crock of shit because the dumber the people are that come out, the easier it is to draft them, make them into docile consumers, or, you know, mongo employees. There are plenty of yuppies out there with absolutely nothing upstairs. Graduate airheads with PhDs and everything but they don't know anything.

Children are naive — they trust everyone. School is bad enough, but, if you put a child anywhere in the vicinity of a church, you're asking for trouble. Drop out of school before your mind rots from exposure to our mediocre educational system. Forget about the Senior Prom and go to the library and educate yourself if you've got any guts. Some of you like Pep rallies and plastic robots who tell you what to read. Rise for the flag salute!

We're involved in sort of a low key war against apathy. Most of what we do is designed to annoy people to the point where they might just for a second question enough of their environment to do something about it. As long as they don't feel their environment, they don't worry about it — they're not gonna do anything to change it. Something's gotta be done before America scarfs up the world and shits on it.

And this from Warwak,

Kids don't care what we know until they know that we care about them. We can't teach Humane Education and turn around 5 minutes later and serve children chopped-up corpses, blood, pus, and moldy creations/tumor-feed and then expect respect. Humane Education reinforced with a vegan school lunch will create a generation that cares enough to save themselves and Earth.
